Losing 59-10 at any level of football leaves a mark. In Miami, its sparking a mutiny.
Per a league source with knowledge of the situation, multiple Dolphins players contacted their agents after Sundays season-opening blowout loss and directed them to attempt to engineer trades elsewhere. The players believe that the coaching staff, despite claiming that they intend to try to win, arent serious about competing and winning and by all appearances have bought into the notion that the Dolphins will take their lumps now in the hopes of laying the foundation via high draft picks for building a successful team later.
Coach Brian Flores consistently has denied an intention to tank, but the first rule of Tank Club is never talk about Tank Club.

NFL doesn’t matter
How can anybody America be interested in giving these America-haters and America-hater enablers the time of day?
The Fish’s next game is against the Patriots.
Can you imagine suffering permanent and debilitating brain damage to support a team that did not want to win?

Yes. I used to be a registered Republican.
Note in this case. Mike Florio of NBC Sports, who posted this story, knows many people inside the Dolphins organization.
Allegedly they were going to stage a mutiny if the team traded LT Laremy Tunsil which they then proceeded to do for a king’s ransom of two #1s, a #2 and two players.
The Dolphins are the poster child for mediocrity since before Dan Marino hung them up, always drafting somewhere in the teens. What has it given them, Ryan Tannehill? The Fins are Tanking For Tua - or possibly Lounging For Lawrence.
ain’t that the truth!
Yes! Classic!
Dan Snyder?? That guy spent boatloads of free agent money over the years to try to win immediately. Pick a better comparison.
Good one!
Who owns Buffalo?.............
Offer a release to all if they give/return their bonuses. They are required to spend 89% of the cap hit so give big raises to those on practice squads with potential.
Lawrence can’t be drafted until 2021.
I live down here but still root for my NY football teams (so I shouldn’t be ragging on anyone today). A close friend of mine is on the Sun-Sentinel Sports staff and will cover some Dolphins when the Marlins fiasco ends soon (the poor guy does Marlins and Panthers as his main beat) and it was no secret when the Tunsil/Stills trade went down what the decision was. This franchise has NEVER tried to ‘rebuild’ in the traditional way before but something had to happen with the way the attendance has gone in the stadium.
They have accumulated 20 picks for 2020 and 2021 so far, including at least 4 #1’s. If they get their drafting correct with the new group it could work but it clearly will be a brutal year and maybe they’ll become not only the only 16-0 team but one of the few 0-16’s too.
Post of the day.
