Jury selection will begin Friday in the murder trial of two of three men charged with carrying out the November 2015 attack on Tyshawn Lee, a smart fourth-grader who prosecutors say was killed by gang members to send a message to his father, a purported member of a rival gang.
"It was one of the most evil things I've ever seen," said the Rev. Michael Pfleger, a Roman Catholic priest who presided over the boy's funeral Mass. The third man accused in the attack, the alleged getaway driver Kevin Edwards, pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in exchange for a 25-year prison sentence.

And since the FDR and especially LBJ policies the father absent home brought much more government aid money to any low income woman with children who did not have a husband or boyfriend present. The kids lived all their formative years without any real training in how to live decent lives with both a mom and dad. The father absent homes since the 1930s went way up in the statistics. In Canada each child of a low income mother is entitled to a government allowance, and the father does not have to leave the home. Canada does not have young men running wild and killing people in their city streets.
In the U.S. our welfare children are not allowed to have a live-in father. Our tax dollars should have no higher purpose than supporting our U.S. children!

The horror for black families started in the 60’s with LBJ’s war on poverty... It was in truth a War on Fathers in the black community.
Very common also for women to get pregnant and shun the father so she gets a an apartment and a check and gets to party.
