Oh, I don't take cable, I just stream off Amazon's Prime site (via the Roku, usually), YouTube, CW, Tubi, other streams on Roku. BTW, looks like you've got a lot more to do than I do, I feel a little ashamed of myself... :^)
Park a satellite off to the side and let gravity do its work, or land on it and nudge it with boosters. There are a number of possibilities if given enough time...and I'm talking decades or more. First we need to identify the object and predict its path. I don't think that there's much that could be done to deflect a space object that's on its final impact trajectory however we might be able to do something if there is a predictable orbit that would eventually intersect with ours.
