The slime the Alien leaves around?

Probably leakage from a Transformer that was on the dark side of the moon.
In 1961, the Ark, a Cybertronian spacecraft carrying an invention capable of ending the war between the benevolent Autobots and the malevolent Decepticons, crash lands on the dark side of Earth's Moon.

Not to mention what we spend feeding, housing, medicating and educating 20M illegal aliens, and making them feel right at home...

Gel-like substance?
It’s the same kind of stuff that some planes drop “accidentally” over populated areas.
It’s also the stuff that our astronauts dropped on the moon before returning from orbit around the moon. It’s how life got started down here on earth when visitors from other planets needed to drop their ‘stuff’ before going back home. We are all born of ‘chit’. In a few million years, that gel-like stuff on the moon would have evolved to become lunaticks.

The moon gets its light (mostly) from the sun ("earthshine" is sunlight which reaches the moon after bouncing off the earth). So any place on the moon is in sunlight about half the time and dark half the time.
The far side of the moon is permanently turned away from the earth, but because of "librations" (not libations) about 59% of the moon's surface can be seen from the earth at one time or another.
I remember my father telling me, when I was in grade school, that no one had ever seen the far side of the moon. Not too long after that the Soviets sent a satellite which managed to take photographs of the far side of the moon. (My mother refused to believe that the photos were genuine.)

That stuff is Clanger waste and you’d better stay away from it.
