It's also a faulty retort, but that's what ensues.
Abortion needs to be attacked not on who pays, but on the fact of it being murder of another DNA-unique pre-born human being.
It wasn’t an attack on “who pays” and anyone who saw it that way missed the point.
It was an attack on abortion itself and besides a shooting war to stop abortion, any way that can make a woman think about her vote for/against abortion helps.
Cause no millennial is changing their opinion based on it “being murder of another DNA-unique pre-born being”.
They would probably not know what it means or they would laugh.
Such are the times.
If you and I really believed what you said, we’d be willing to take up arms to stop it.
No different than the holocaust.
But we are all of us afraid. And for good reason.
We don’t want our nice lives and comfort features taken away and us thrown in prison for defending the unborn.
So instead of that we have to rely on voting and quick witted comedians.
I think Chappelle’s “My Money, My Choice” is brilliant!
You are thinking like a conservative who believes one must give your well thought out reasons (I’m sure they are) for taking a position. We lose because, in part, we haven’t learned the art of the advertising slogan.
Learn from the Left, we live in the Age of the Sound Bite. “Bush Lied, People Died.” My Body, My Choice”. No matter that they are wrong, people remember pithy sayings and (unfortunately) they work. Find and start with successful slogans, and provide the well thought out justification when challenged.
By the way, “My Money, My Choice” also works wonderfully for the property rights argument.
