The chances of getting assaulted in my neighborhood or the whole south side of where I live just by walking around is almost zero.
I have NO reason to ever go to the dark side of town.
My job is in a white neighborhood and in YEARS I’ve not heard of one person being accosted.
I don’t care of bkln and the bronx and parts of manhattan tear themselves to pieces.
I’ll worry when it starts hitting home.
But we wouldn’t put up with it here just like you guys wouldn’t in your neighborhoods.

I felt the same living in Little Rock and Tulsa, fifty years ago. Certain areas of town were so safe you could walk out at night. Other areas you stayed away from. Now it is worse.
