I have a Smith .380 in my Ford Truck. Been that way for years. Up to now, they have behaved very well. I am so proud of them.

If your guns are not violent, why do you have them locked up?

Bingo! Here is the solution, one which the rabid leftist media will never acknowledge, not because they can't, but because they never will. Teach children to respect and uphold the ten commandments. This won't happen in the public schools, it must happen in the family. But what is the chance of that happening with the current state of family structure? When morality and family is lost, the state is where the void is fulfilled. We are here: “If there are no absolutes by which to judge society, then society is absolute.” Francis Schaeffer, How Shall We Then Live? (Old Tappan NJ: Fleming H Revell Company, 1976), p. 224.

Most people keep their guns locked up so that they don’t run away. They can be bad that way.

Guns sure are violent in St. LOUIS.

Most other places, say North Dakota, those guns are far less violent.

Huh.

You know, the gun grabbers should start with these neighborhoods. That is were the shootings are happening.

If a criminal psychopath was poisoning people the press wouldn't call it a ‘wave of poison violence’...

The people behind the guns - the criminals - are doing the violence...not the gun.

I’ve been in my neighborhood for nearly 20 years and lived in similar areas my whole life. I’d be surprised if there many folks in my area that didn’t own guns, lots of them, yet we have little to no crime. Certainly no violent crime or “gun violence.” We don’t even have police patrols.

Gun violence. Written as if guns & violence always occur in a vacuum, codependent with each other yet having no dependence on evildoers.

Never a mention of the human players.

Malevolent inanimate objects, rampaging through the streets, with no connection to or relationship with any persons.

All of these reports completely ignore the ferals running rampant, killing for sport, or street cred, or payback.

It sounds like “people violence” is the problem.

We don’t need to get the Guns off the Street; we need to get the Bums off the Street. ...and into hard labor camps where they belong.

So much gun violence is part of the War on Drugs, which our government decided many years ago to abandon. The whole law enforcement/incarceration industry has become such a cash cow that nobody in government seems to want victory. Imagine how many jobs would disappear if illegal drugs were prevented from entering this country or destroyed at their sources within our borders.

It is a massive government jobs program and income source for local governments.

I suggest it would a good idea to sterilize the scum once they were taken into custody. Someone who has a lengthy criminal record dating from childhood and won’t work a job or raise his children should not be generating any more little monsters.

That’s compassionate isn’t it? In older times they would have danced the Tyburn Jig at the end of a rope.

The problem could be solved if they were willing to confront the CAUSE of the problem. But since the problem is CULTURAL, and they conflate CULTURE with RACE, they refuse to even begin to address the problem.

In the 1950s, Black families were generaly strong, but with the “war on poverty” came Karl Marx’s dream of dissolving the family unit and replacing it with The State. The State becomes the provider, no strong male role model, and you wind up with what we see in major dem run cities today, with rampant violent crime, especially gang violence, where the gangs provide the only “male role models available to children, which ensures generations of young men winding up in prison.

Mark

There are hundreds of ways to "fix" the problem--which is almost all young black men that are the sons of single black moms.

Every single one of them is far outside the Overton Window.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overton_window

If you are willing to step outside the Overton window you could, for example:

--Ban single mothers from keeping their male children unless they can prove they have the means to support them

--Make parents financially responsible for crimes of their teenage sons, and jail the parents if they can't pay

--Require financial compensation of victims of crime (including putting a dollar value on injuries and death) and requiring the criminal to stay in jail until the compensation is paid (jobs in prison with compensation for that purpose)

--Full support of tough policing in high crime areas with a presumption in favor of police action in such areas in any disciplinary or court proceeding

--Public identification and shaming of high crime areas by the major media

--Public service announcements denouncing criminals and crime, and calling out black crime as appropriate

--Public signs of streets warning that the areas are part of a high crime area and should only be entered "at your own risk"

etc, etc, etc--the list is endless if there is no Overton Window to worry about...
