Housden tearfully apologized the next day, and then compared President Trump to an orangutan.
There, all is forgiven now!
Ah, the thrilling world of racist snowflakes.
A pox on all of them.
What’s the big deal, Muhammad Ali called Joe Frazier a “gorilla”.
“”Hey there gorilla...we in Manilla...”....heh heh...god, that was funny..
Ali would hold up that stupid little rubber gorilla...and punch it....hee hee...
Alex Housden may not get fired, but she will never get another job in broadcast media, or perhaps anywhere.
It would seem that she was actually comparing her co-anchor to the way the ape was taking the selfie. If it had been another animal, she wouldnt have been caught in the diversity/racism rollercoaster. The snowflakes wouldn’t have been offended and she would probably have gone on to a successful career. But because the animal taking the selfie was a gorilla and the co-anchor is Black, her career will evaporate.
My sister called me a big ape! And I’m white!
Long live Frank Perdue and Oprah Winfrey.
I was having a few beers one day with a black guy and we had our arms leaning on the bar and he said, Look, your arm is so hairy you look like a white ape. I guess I should have accused him of racism but it didnt occur to me at the time.
Now if he’d been talking about Rep. Al Green....well...
Frazier's reaction:
I feel somewhat sorry for her and believe she meant no harm or hurt, but she’s in an industry that persecutes others for lapses in political correctness... she should have known better.
One would hope so, but it doesn't take much. How about that black Seattle councilman who says powerwashing the sidewalks is racist? It "brings up images" of civil rights workers being sprayed with fire hoses.
Her co-host should have come on instead and said he didn’t know why others were offended when he wasn’t.
Whiny beach.
She better find another line of work and change her name. She will be hounded out of her job.
The Left constantly referred to W as a “chimp”.
I'd probably had said: "That's what I am, when you think about it."
