Dr. Henry Cloud’s book “Boundaries” describes people raised without them. What they want is good and moral. What makes them feel bad is morally bad. The rules they set down others have to obey. When you say no to their demands, when others apply hard limits like laws, they shriek that it is cruel, unfair, oppression.
In this case, they require EVERYONE to endorse their delusion. They seek out dissent and challenge it, because any such unorthodoxy is a threat to the fantasy. If there’s a group that disagrees, if there is someone who isn’t wholeheartedly endorsing every facet of the delusion, confront them. If they don’t cower and cry, tear them apart.
