The Commandant's Own" performs their Music in Motion show at several Drum Corps International venues every summer. This video was recorded at NightBEAT Tour of Champions in Winston-Salem, NC.
I speak Drum, not fluently, but enough to get by.
Bfl
I will check it out tonight.
I know THIS is one Drum Corps that won't be dancing and prancing around wearing bizzare French-looking costumes!
Hahahah...had to watch...a nice little kick-ass street-beat!
Just damn...
I watches Spirit of Atlanta last weekend. You are right, they were great.
That is all.
I was never in band. I still live DCI. Used to watch The Vanguard
My twin daughters did drum Corp years ago with Southwind out of at that time, Montgomery, AL. Great experience for young folks. Went summer before last to see step granddaughter. Loved it!
I remember Southwind. Our big rivals were Suncoast Sound.
Ahhhhh... daughter marched Drum Corps for a season in high school - so much hard work, so awesome.
The human body and spirit thrives from serious physical exertion.
My girls marched 1992 (Champions-Div. II) and 1993. In this clip from 93 at the 2:07 mark, they are the matching bookends in the trio...lol. One daughter went from trumpet to mellophone and the other from sax to mellophone.
