Anyone here believe that global warming zealots want to stop at 19%?
Currently meat has reduced tax rate of 7 per cent but politicians say it should increase to 19.

Germany could introduce a “meat tax” to protect the climate and improve animal welfare.
Currently meat in the country has a reduced tax rate of seven per cent but the Social Democrat party and the Greens are arguing that this should increase to the standard 19 per cent, with additional revenue spent on improving animal welfare.
“I am in favour of abolishing the VAT reduction for meat and earmarking it for more animal welfare,” Friedrich Ostendorf, agricultural policy spokesperson for the Greens told The Local website.
He said it mad “no sense” that meat was taxed at seven per cent while oat milk is taxed at 19 per cent.

Effect on climate: ZERO!! Because human and/or animal activity has NOTHING to do with climate. The warming is natural and so will be the coming cooling.
The increased taxes will finance bureaucrats for more CO2-spewing junkets to climate change conferences.
well as long as they don’t tax pork.....lamb and goat should be taxes up the ying yang and back...

Yep. They’ll be confused with the coming cooling. We’re on the verge of another mini-ice age.
The German government and ruling elite HATE the German people.
They create a fake crisis and then create a real tax to fix it. I say go for it.
In all seriousness there is a point where even the most docile citizen says enough is enough and will actually turn against their master (the elite).
Europeans have traded their freedom for comfort. Now that the elite have them trained, they will begin taking away their comfort by taxing things people enjoy all in the name of saving the planet.
Are they imposing this tax on meats they export to China and other similar nations?
Wouldn’t it save the Earth even faster if the tax were 100%?
I can’t wait to see what they say when the cooling from the recent and continuous lack of sun spots materializes in the next 2 years

I thought Germany abandoned with a passion the Hitlerian health nazi stuff.
Last Winter we had quite a number of days where the low was 20 to 30 deg. below “normal”.
That’s plenty cool enough for me.
Uncle Adolf would be proud.
