He resigned so that he and Mitt could challenge Trump for the Republican nomination for President in 2020. Probably wouldn’t succeed but could damage him fatally for the general election. And that would be enough for Mitt and the Deep State.

Consider Rep. Nadler’s weekend announcement of the probable timeline for House impeachment proceedings beginning in the fall. The House acts as prosecutor at the Senate trial, so you can bet proceedings will be as drawn out as possible even if they know Trump ultimately won’t be convicted.

This has to be the strategy the Dems intend to follow. Have you noticed that AOC and her “squad” have not talked too much about impeachment since she and Pelosi had their one-on-one meeting? What did Nancy tell Alexandra?
