I don’t like people in a certain club.
But I earn the qualifications to be in the club (sort of), and the open-minded members of the club invite me to join.
Instead of saying “I don’t want to be in your club because I don’t like you,” I go ahead and join the club, in order to destroy it.
An honorable person would say “Thanks for inviting me, but I’m not going to join your club because I have deep philosophical differences with how the people in your club see the world.”
But I’m not honorable, nor am I honest. I can’t create the thing I’ve been invited to be a part of; I can’t even add anything meaningful to it. But I can be remembered for destroying it.
Good analogy.
