Several years ago I overheard my dads cousin (undergoing chemo)tell my mom that she had no appetite except for chocolate. Her doctor said it doesnt matter as long as you eat something. I had to almost literally bite my tongue to stop myself from saying sugar feeds cancer!
Perhaps her doctor decided that her situation was dire enough that it no longer mattered. She looked really good that night-perky and cute-but passed away a month or two later. I wondered at the time if eating only sugary foods made a difference.
God Bless you Windflier, I pray for your healing! I have experience with only one hospital due to my late Mother’s repeated visits, but they certainly didn’t give her a high sugar (much less McDonald’s) diet. It was a very nutritional, low salt, low fat, low sugar diet, so there is hope.
I would suggest you look into a low carb high fat diet.

Every time a cell replicates, mistakes are made which differentiate it from the original. The more they replicate, the more mistakes. It’s like making a copy of a copy of a copy.....After enough copies, it is hard to recognize the original.
And that’s what cancer is — a genetic mistake typically borne from too many copies. The more you eat, the more likely (frequently) your cells are to replicate. Some foods are worse than others, with sugar being near the top of the bad list.
Doctors, hospitals and the entire medical/pharma industry don’t get paid without sick people. Think about it.
Hospitals feed cancer patients sugar and high carbohydrate diets for a simple reason: they are abysmally ignorant of the role of nutrition in health and disease
One of my relatives was in the hospital not too long ago. They fed her sugary junk food with almost every meal even though she is diabetic. While she was there she was given oatmeal raisin cookies, apple and peach cobblers, chocolate cake slices, blueberry and bran muffins, brownies, fruit in syrup, little cups of ice cream and ice slushies, and lots of juices and diet colas. I thought it was absolutely crazy.
Thank God more and more people are doing their own research and not just relying on the professionals.
I don’t think any nutrition courses are taught in medical school. Too bad.

May I ask what initial form of cancer you had?
I’ve read research that sugar is probably not a good idea while battling cancer, but that it causes cancer? Not convinced.
What I would add to the discussion, folks need to look right on into our food chain.
We are acquiring food from all over the world now. We raise our own cattle, fruits, veggies and export much of it and in turn import foreign sources.
This is why we are seeing an increase in food recalls in the U.S. because of EColi, Salmonella and such.
Fields are turned so quickly from one crop to another, fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides along with genetically modified products are entering the food chain. These substances are being absorbed through the root systems.
Can’t wash these fruits / veggies and rid them of these substances.

Furthermore, female mammary systems are so sensitive and I for one believe with no doubt that the increase in female breast cancers can be traced back to the food chain.
Sugar...not sure. Carcinogens in the food chain..yea.
Hospitals also dont let you sleep which helps healing
My wife survived stage 4 cancer.
Go ahead: Quit sugar. With no other changes everyone who would’ve gotten cancer will get it anyway. The article irresponsibly misrepresents the findings of the study and the study authors intentionally misrepresent their study by invoking Warburg.
Ask “Why?”
‘Treatment’ for a diseased condition genuinely requires a prescribed and intelligent nutrient intake, but labeling such a thing as a ‘diet’ which is cancer preventative is laughably-ignorant. Furthermore, the article’s authors in their terminus play cheerleaders for toxic chemical analogues of sweetness in abject ignorance of THEIR effects upon biology, including sucralose.
Lots of study grant $$ out there and little to show for the investment, but plenty of emotional hyperbole as desperate people ignore sound choices in the search for single point fixes & magic pills, powders and elixirs (’diets’, too).
It’s long past time someone audits research grants and ceases the cavalcade of ridiculous ‘studies’ which are nothing more than welfare for scientists. This study may very well assist in treatment & recovery for afflicted patients, but likely poses zero hope for those who seek to avoid a dreaded diagnosis for one of the pair of America’s greatest killers and significant drain on healthcare resources.
There are innumerous reasons to limit sugar intake; this one is on the FAR end of the scale, but utilizes hype and label to predictable effect.
Mostly right, but sugar is only part of it. The larger class of macronutrient that sugar belongs to is CARBOHYDRATES and they include starches (noodles, bread, etc.) and items like rice and beans. As far as the human body goes, they are ALL THE SAME, and all breakdown into blood glucose - which cancer cells just LOVE.
Bad stuff feeds on sugar.
The Government’s “Food Pyramid” has killed millions.
Sugar (processed sugar) is a toxin. Has been known for decades.
Leads to heart disease and cancer
