I left my children, briefly, in a black car with the engine running just today. They are between 7 and 12, and know how to get in and out of the car. They had the keys, too. It that illegal? I am sometimes confused about how my benevolent government requires me to behave and wish to better please them so they do not graciously accept possession and responsibility for my kids, property etc. Help! Truly: is it illegal? Is it like “brandishing,” which means whatever the arresting officer AKA American Hero needs it to mean to convict?
Yea but you were probably running into the store for a few seconds not running into the local pub to get wasted.
Your kids are older the one being 12 who should act responsible and tell the younger to behave if necessary.
Leaving a baby in a car unattended? NO NO NO NO NO and just NO.
Yeah, but this poor little kid wasn’t 7-12, she was ONE.
I think we can all agree anyone who would leave a one year old alone in an unlocked car outside of a bar fully deserves to lose custody of that child.
My dad and his brothers operated tractors at 12, and drove cars at that age too. In rural Iowa there was no other way to get around
In Georgia it is illegal and you will be arrested
Maybe illegal but mostly stupid. Your kids cannot go with you?
