Thousands of US millennials are priced-out of the dating market, a new study has shown.
Researchers found that a third of Generation Y are reluctantly single because they can't afford to pursue love.
According to the data, financial instability is hampering their ability to find 'the one' because it's forcing them to budget, instead.
Meanwhile, a quarter of respondents even said they would happily have sex with a human-like robot - but this would still be classed as cheating my half of partners.

Wow what a LAME EXCUSE. Grabbing a pizza and watching a movie at home is too expensive? Oh, I guess since they live in Mom and Dad’s basement, that wouldn’t be cool..... what a bunch of pathetic losers.
If they didn’t spend all their money on Netflix, huge cell phone plans etc. maybe they would have a few bucks for dinner and a movie.

Oh c’mon. I bet half the dates my now wife and I went on were between $10-$20, if they weren’t free, because we were just enjoying spending time together. Lousy excuse.

Exactly. Dating costs a heap these days. If you do it, you can’t afford that new cell phone. I’m a millennial (I’m sorry to admit) and I know quite a few people who don’t date for various reasons, chief among them being money. It’s cheaper these days to just MGTOW

Not much money left after manicure/pedicure, botox, $350/month car payments, eating out at $10/meal 8 or 10 times a week, send out the laundry, etc., etc.
If they had to live the way we did (or, more so, our parents) they would not be able to cope, IMHO.

Dates do not need to involve money. Go on a hike in the woods. Walk along the beach. Go to a museum (many are free). Go to the public library. Or a free outdoor concert that most bigger cities have during the summer.
With the stipulation that they have to date whomever they choose, which could be either gender.
