1. Corwin++ -- first proposed by Democrats like Mississippi Senator Jefferson Davis as a way to keep Democrat states from declaring secession.

2. Supported by 100% of Democrats in Congress, opposed by the majority of Republicans.

3. As Bull Snipe has pointed out, Corwin was not accepted by any already-seceded states because, precisely, they then already had a much better deal in their new Confederate constitution.

4. But Corwin did help keep Border states like Kentucky, Maryland and Missouri in the Union until ratification of the 13th Amendment ended the slavery question.

All of which you well know but refuse to acknowledge because it doesn't fit-in with your Lost Cause fantasies.
