We’ve all had events in which we came to a point where it was obvious to the most casual observer we were incorrect. At times even to the extent one might say “dumb ass wrong”, that being the kinder of what one may say.

At some point we need to say, I’m not as smart as I thought I was and thank you for explaining to me.

About now this link came to my attention that I liked better than what I was going to comment on.

Incorrect correlation between "stupid" and "ignorant". Stupid is not having the cognitive ability to formulate a reasonable answer to a question while having the basics of a topic. Ignorance is just not knowing the basics of the topic.
