Toddler missing, parents killed in 'apparent murder-suicide'

MEDFORD, Ore. — A two-year-old child is missing after his parents were involved in "an apparent murder-suicide in Montana," according to the Medford Police Department.

The couple, Daniel Salcido and Hannah Janiak, were first reported missing to the Medford Police Department on June 11th, 2019. The couple had a child together, Aiden Salcido... On Thursday, July 25th, 2019, Medford Police Detectives learned that the Kalispell Police Department in Montana had stopped an Oregon plated green 1996 GMC Jimmy. A man was driving with a woman in the passenger seat - they were believed to be giving false information about their identities. During the stop, the car fled and led officers on a pursuit. Officers spiked the vehicle tires and stopped the car. When the officers approached, they found that both the man and the woman were dead. The female was believed to have been shot in the head, and the male had an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, according to MPD.The couple was later identified as Daniel Salcido and Hannah Janiak. Two-year-old Aiden was not found with them, nor was there evidence of a child being in the car at the time of the traffic stop.
