Currently no part of New Mexico is under severe drought conditions, and less than 9% is in moderate drought conditions.
That’s a lot better than most of the previous decade.
A few years ago, 2013 and 2015, while driving through my old home of NE New Mexico, I was shocked to see it green for the first time in my 72 years!
In the past, it has always been a hard, hot dry land.
I think that California is in a similar situation.
Just wait and see what happens if Jim Cantore shows up. :-)
