When my wife and I saw “Calendar Girls” I thought, that Hellen lady must have been a hottie back in the day. I didn’t give it much thought until we saw her in Red. At that point I thought, she must have been acting when she was younger, so in a moment of boredom I checked IMDB.
That’s where I discovered the skinny on ‘Age of Consent”.
In her twenties she was hotter than than the lava from Kilauea. She exuded sex appeal. And she held on that incandescence far longer than any actress I can think of. Idiot lefty in real life, of course. But a brilliant actress.
