The Trump administration has honored an 83-year-old Muslim cleric from Nigeria who saved hundreds of Christians during a terror attack in 2018.Imam Abubakar Abdullahi, who saved the Christians after hiding them in his home and a mosque, was honored by The State Department in an awards ceremony on Wednesday for his actions on June 23, 2018.The incident occurred when "ethnic Fulani herdsmen, who are predominantly Muslim, launched attacks on ten villages in Barkin Ladi, killing hundreds of Christians."According to The State Department:

I’ve only known two Muslims personally (one male, one female) and both were fine people. It’s sad that apparently many who follow that religion are not very good folks at all.

A good observation. And Jesus said that if this noble man even gave a cup of cold water to help these Christians, he would not fail to have his reward.
Thank God, many people fail to “live down to” the corrupt ideals of their alleged religious/political beliefs.
Who knows, maybe he’ll become a Christian. He already seems to get the gist of it.
I am thrilled with the Trump Administration. Trump does us all proud by recognizing this man.

Good man.
An example of why my focus is on Islam, and never the individual Muslim.
From the little bit that I know, Muslim Nigerians are not nearly as bad to Christians as Arab/Persians Muslims, so I’m not totally surprised here. When Nigeria elected a Muslim president a few years ago, my Christian Nigerian friend was happy about it (no fear at all), he said that the existing Christian government was corrupt (bottom story of the day in Africa) and that the new leader might do better (I think the jury is out on that).
Obviously when you talk the North of Nigeria and Boko Harem, that’s another story.
Glad Trump gave him the reward - he deserved it!
