The culture has been going downhill since the APA normalized homosexuality from political pressure from leftwing perverts.
The Forest Gump scene at the party was very typical of those times. Many white guys semi-sympathetic to civil rights would join and pressure the Black gals to do it with them to prove they were really for integration. Likewise Black guys played the guilt trip on white gals in the movement.
I do not know about any gay activity. At that time the Democrats were violently anti-gay. The Republicans were pro-gay... as long as it was kept in the privacy of the
bedroom. JEdgar Hoover was the epitome of homos and everything the left hated. All homos were stereotyped with Hoover.
Much of the Black Panther and Black only movement away from integration was due to disagreement over white guys pressuring/raping Black gals. Of course there may have been a double standard. But it won’t be the first double standard.
