Calling him “it” works just as well for me, and is grammatically better than using a plural word.
Man: I had to read to the very end of comments to find what to me is the obvious pronoun to call this person. IT. makes sense to me. Totally without any humanized context. About as neutral as can be.
“It” is certainly a good choice.
But I suggest that any man who wears makeup ought to be called “she.” Which is probably what they would like to be anyway.
