I remember someone here on FR saying that within a few of years of the wedding day, she’d be a very rich divorcee, sipping margaritas poolside in someplace exclusive, tropical and very comfortable.

Prince Phillip should have told him. He’s a hard a$$. Kate and Harry were always joking and laughing in all the pictures before Megan came along. Too bad the brothers are strained by this. Harry just let her lead him around by the nose. She would drop him like a hot potato if he gave up his royal life.
Wallis became very detached from King Edward once he wasn’t a member of the royal family anymore. I have read several accounts stating this. Meghan would be the same way. I think I could live the life as a Royal wife perfectly fine and enjoy it very much.

The whole Wimbledon thing was, I think, a huge mistake. There was another article I read about Wimbledon and the royals. Camilla attended and apparently was doing the “official” royal visit, chatting with young people working the tournament, a wheelchair tennis player and touring the facility before watching a match. Kate and Sophie were apparently attending “privately.”
All three of them (who attended at different times) were nicely dressed, sat in a VIP area but amongst plenty of other people, and made no fusses or demands (like no pictures). Meghan (however she spells it) does not come off well by comparison.
Just to chime in on this couple. Clearly this wasn’t a good match from the get go. Meghan had none of the attributes necessary for the role she would take on, and certainly as a staunch Hollywood glitz feminist who loves the stage wasn’t about to play her part downstream of Kate let alone be told her place.
As I see it expectations by all parties were far too high for this to be even remotely smooth sailing. If indeed she and Harry do get to Africa that might sustain them for a time but not without frequent trips to Hollywood.

She also started off in a very bad way...$75,000 for the over the top, inappropriate evening gown she wore in the engagement photo. Then she took over the interview, for T.V. With Harry, whom she kept talking over! And if thIs wasn’t enough, everything that followed was one very wrong step after another...the crazy spending, demanding to wear a tiar that the Queen refused loaning to her for the wedding, announcing that she was preggers at Princess Eugenie’s wedding, trying to upstage both William and Kate, writing crap on bananas sent to exprostitutes, and so much more!
