DIXON, Illinois — A woman was arrested Tuesday after she was seen driving her SUV with her two children in an inflatable pool on the roof of the vehicle, according to police.
A news release from the Dixon Police Department says , 49, of Dixon, has been charged with two counts of endangering the health or life of a child and two counts of reckless conduct. She also was cited for failure to secure a passenger of the age of 8 and under the age of 16, police say.
Yeager was stopped just after 3 p.m. Tuesday when a resident who saw the kids on top of the Audi Q5 called police.
After being stopped, Yeager reportedly told police she had driven to a friend’s house to inflate the pool, then had her two daughters ride inside it on the way back so it would stay on the roof of the car.
Yeager was released after posting bond, according to police.

If she had driven like that from Guatamala to the U.S. and both kids were dead on arrival, she’d be a hero testifying before Congress.
There’s no excuse for this lack of judgement in Illinois. We all know you line a pick up bed with plastic to make a mobile pool.
She was just car pooling.
When I first saw the picture of the pool on top of the car, I wondered why they’d stopped and arrested her, but then when I read that her kids were sitting in the pool, I said “WHHAAAATT???”
She needs to fix that pool up with some child seat's, and/or seatbelts.
If only reproduction was a ten step process it would have solved many of the world’s problems. There are many children stuck with unfit parents. Sadly, too many children do not survive.

Tragically, you are 110% correct. Any AMERICAN parent endangering their children’s health and safety will see jail and probably lose custody as well.
But “certain” people bringing children through burning deserts, minus adequate food, medicine, water and protective clothing are celebrated by Fake MEDIA as noble and loving parents to be applauded and copied.

Looks as if the gene pool there has disintegrated considerably.
I am from Wisconsin and have to agree with that assessment.
