I do not automatically think its tragic a 17 year old loses their life. For me I require context to make that determination. if they are a punk thug, for example, I think of it as a blessing for all of society.

Absolutely. Trayvon Martin was 17, and every bit of evidence revealed at George Zimmerman’s trial indicated that Zimmerman had every legal and ethical right to shoot him in self defense.

I would think that a 17-year-old having to lead such a life that led to her inevitable shooing by police was tragic enough.

Take the guns away from the majority of the police is how I’ve felt for a long time. If you’re a cop, ex-cop, brother or son of a cop father or spouse of a cop, I don’t care. You earn the respect you deserve. You just can’t pin respected on with a gun and a badge.
