We must be a bunch of useless, ignorant, immoral bums.
No, we the people are not, as a whole. But, as a whole, we unwisely tolerate useless, ignorant, immoral bums. We should, instead, shame such bums until they want to rise out of these deficiencies, and give them our help in rising to the higher standard.

Yes we as a people are.
We live in a country full of idiots. Being on Freerepublic it’s easy to believe everyone is as informed and has common sense like you do. But the sad fact is most people are uniformed dummies.
In a sane, just, intelligent country a party as evil and vile as the Democrat party shouldn’t even get 2% of the vote.
Even on the Republican side, we can’t even count on most members to pay attention and wake the *^(# up and throw some of these RINO bums out.
