I hate to admit it, but my wife dragged me to the live action Aladdin and to my surprise I liked it.
My grown kids are of an age where when they were 3 or 4 had to listen to the Lion King soundtrack and watch the DVD over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over.
Because of that, Lion King has a special place in my psyche. A "live action" version may not be horrible.
I also dragged family members to see Aladdin. Mostly they went to get out of the heat. I really enjoyed it — some of it had a Bollywood vibe that I enjoyed. And some good points about honesty and friendship.
