Yes, I root against the team that HIJACKED our country’s name. If this were war and not sports, the captain would be considered a traitor to his/her country and subject to captial punishment at court marshal.

A little extreme example, but since this is sports there is no court martial. If there was some public pushback against Rapinoe’s selfish, pardon the oxymoron, “stance” on the issue of the national anthem by the members of the team, or preferably the team management, then I would root for the U.S. The right to First Amendment privileges ENDS when one is protesting against the enabler of the First Amendment in the first place.
