I have been working on a knowledge base of topics related to prepping and SHTF situations. It is geared towards making people more self sufficient with topics ranging from unarmed self defense to small space gardening to how to sew your own clothes. I'm one of those types of people who believe that we are going to go out with a whimper, not a bang, so there is a lot of content on how to do your own repairs, build your own stuff and live a more frugal lifestyle. In order to get access you need to send me a PM then I will give you a link and an access code. Once you're in you can find a directory list in each folder. You can download 1 file or everything there in one big zip file. You would need to have some basic book readers and, for 1 section, an MP3 player all which can be found for free. It's been up and running for a few months now and plenty of people have visited it and lived to tell the tale :-) If you're interested send me a PM and I will send you the link and crypto key.
1. Download sections instead of the entire thing. Each section is its own topic with related articles inside and you can download that individual section.
2. Come back later. We get a rush of downloads then it calms down to nothing for the rest of the month.
3. Wait, as they suggest, and resume it your next available time slot. Notice that the common thread between those suggestions is that none of them cost you a dime.
4. Buy a premium membership. As far as I know only one person has actually done that and he bought a premium membership for the Knowledge Base, not himself. That allowed us to double the size of the KB and make it available to all of you for an extra year. Without that it probably would have been deleted by now.
I have absolutely been joining other veterans in preparing our SHTF knowledge base.
When an army forages, it has to know where the supplies are. Preppers are the supply depots.
This is related, but might not be for this thread. How much ammunition needs to be stored, how does the ammo get stored and when you are practicing, how many rounds do you typically shoot?
I’m not really planning for prepping, however I am doing small things like hoarding seeds and whenever I can get heirloom seeds, I stock up on them. When I was a kid, my father told me if there is ever a breakdown in society, seeds will be currency. This is 55 years ago.
