No one wants to give Ukraine more lethal weapons to kill Crimeans

The idea that it’s even controversial that Russia maintained control of its own biggest shipyard and a key, irreplaceable military asset is in and of itself an extreme one.

If California decides it prefers to be annexed to Mexico, we’ll be going in to take the ports in LA and SD, guaranteed. We’re certainly not going to let those ports become de facto Chinese. That would be our equivalent to what happened here.
