Goals are hard to come by. Taking one off the board means alot, so I dont fault Cameroon.
It’s a shame. I care less when there is any Trump and American hating scumbag on any team.
Dont get me wrong, England would have won anyway.
At the eye doc’s waiting to get a cataract taken off
Soon I won’t be able to read the thread so
MORE COWBELL
Spain clearly the superior technical squad. Big mistake by Naer. Spain is using the long ball to test the US back line.
"Chicks dig the long ball."
The NBC sportswriter is an idiot. There is no such thing as a “prohibitive favorite” in a single elimination tournament, in a field in which any of the remaining teams is capable on any given day of beating anyone, in a competition in which most games will be decided by one goal or in a shootout. Would’ve been nice had Brazil pulled the upset yesterday. France will be tough with the home field advantage.
Foul got us a goal Defense error cost us a goal.
More than one pass too far ahead of Morgan.
She needs to stay onside.

The second penalty kick was awarded on a pretty soft foul. I wouldn't have called it. But since the ref didn't blow her whistle when a U.S. player was thrown to the ground inside the box, with a strong and flagrant two handed shoulder throw, that evens out.
The best thing for the U.S. is that they dodged a bullet. Alyssa Naeher got her klutz play for this tournament out of the way. To win the tournament with as much parity as there is, the eventual champion will have to survive a subpar game and bad luck somewhere along the way. France dodged a bullet yesterday. The U.S. dodged one today. That sets up what we've all anticipated since the draw.
Looked to me like Spain came in with a plan to throw caution to the wind.
Without the fouls they would have won 1-0.
I thought the score should have been 1-4 USA.
Spain should have been penalized for 4 fouls instead of two.
Looked to me like Spain came in with a plan to throw caution to the wind.Spain Head-coach had an odd smile before the game that was unchanged after the game.
Spain was like an outmanned basketball team that sets out to mug a stronger opponent. Sometimes the refs let 'm play and mugging works. But if the refs blow the whistle, the weaker team will be in early foul trouble, have three or four players foul out, and be on the wrong end of a 20 shot differential at the free throw line.
France, Germany, England and Japan won't play that way because they have the talent to match up cleanly, and they will be conscious of yellows. Spain had nothing to lose.
Yeh, Spains strategy was to Beat Up Alex Morgan and knock her off her game which was accomplished. However, US talent was too deep for the Spaniards....
Spain Head-coach had an odd smile before the game that was unchanged after the game. You think you are going to play against this but instead you get this.
Halftime Sweden 0-0 Canada
Winner will play Germany.
