But, since it’s mandated, then those prices will rise and so will our tainted gasoline.

Seems to me that this would be a good year to make better use of the available corn than to make it into ethanol.

Actually, the use of so much corn for ethanol gives U.S. commodities markets a huge buffer against crop failure. As long as we can backfill oil with imports from our friends in ugly parts of the world, we can absorb a hit in corn production.

If only...

Corn production will probably be down only a few percent.

Probably no worse than 2013.
