In Venezuela, filling a tank is basically free
NBC News ^ | June 13, 2019 | Daniella Silva

For Venezuelans who make it to a gas pump with fuel, filling a tank is basically free. Drivers tip gas station workers a small amount, but there is no real fixed price to fill your tank with the government keeping gas prices low. But the shortages have made finding gas a major problem.

Hours-long lines for gas have become more and more common, especially in states within the interior of Venezuela. But the shortages have increasingly crept closer to Venezuela’s capital, hitting cities like Maracay. While Caracas has been largely spared the long lines thus far, Venezuelans in other states are in such desperate need they'll sleep overnight outside gas stations.

“If I don’t have gas I have no way to work. I have to go back home,” said Jose Diaz, 50, who works for a local business that requires him to travel.

When things are free, you get exactly what you pay for.

...

The pro-communist headline doesn’t match the content of the article.

Thanks Comcast/NBC.

Kind of Ironic that the poor SOB is pushing his car with the Chevy dealer sign in the background.

Economists only know how to make two things: Surpluses and Shortages. To make a surplus control the price above the market price, to create a shortage control the price below the market price.

It is hard, nearly impossible, to believe that a thriving black market hasn’t arisen. But that would be another mark against socialism.

When the government for tax reasons took over Reno’s Mustang Ranch (whorehouse), it LOST money.

It lost money every year they managed it.

So does gasoline have a price per gallon or not? Such lazy reporting.

I’m guessing the writer avoided citing a price because it would require printing a shocking hyperinflated number that would be unflattering to the regime.

Why do mexican and sub mexican countries all end up this way over and over again via coup or revolution? What do they think is going to happen to the US once they are all here. We are not racist, it just seems you want the same kind of political system you just walked away from? We do not want coups and revolutions and riots in the streets with other countries flags waving in the wind? Where will you go when you succeed in transforming the US and Canadia into Los Angeles? Only wypipo countries left will soon be in Eastern Europe, because they are not burdened with PC and do not foolishly let people in

If the term wypipo meant as little to you as it meant to me, here’s the backstory on that ...

The article tries to leave the impression that Trump is the culprit. The author is playing to the ignorance and stupidity of his audience.
