Well, Sergey, you soviets would know about “airbrushing”.
Says the country that jointly attacked Poland.
We failed to work with German generals to make a truce late in the war and join with the wehrmacht (not the Nazis or the SS)to take out the Soviets.
FDR and Truman sold Eastern Europe down the toilet.
Izzat the same Soviet Union that signed a peace agreement with the same Hitler?
(Not meant to understate the SU’s massive contributions - and sacrifices - to the WW-II effort.
Please. They celebrate their holidays about the war and nobody bunches their undies and bitches like a baby that they are erasing America and the allies from wwii.
Ruling by emotions and feelings is a disaster, for america, and for them.
The Great Patriotic War is only called that in the former USSR.
The rest of the world knows that Stalin was every bit as evil as Hitler and Communism every bit vile as Nazism.
Were it not for the Austrian paper-hanger, Churchill would have overseen the world’s effort to destroy the Soviet Union.
Where’s Vladimir Posner when you need him?
LOL! The USSR WAS an aggressor!
Very long winded, but I had no idea just how brutal and bloody the fighting was on the Eastern Front, or how many millions died in that front. By some accounts, 10 million Soviet deaths, and 4 million Nazi German deaths.
This account of the Eastern Front went a long way towards explaining the post WW II Soviet attitudes and actions towards the West.
No one was more valiant than the Russians!
What is also “airbrushed” is the fact that the Soviet Union was a defacto member of the Axis, until June 22, 1941.
American school children and college students are taught disinformation and the most extreme foolishness of Western Decadence. They are taught to scorn TRUTH, to hate the USA and Christianity, to silence opinions and facts that disagree with the groupthink of the ruling class, and to embrace the absurdities of the Western Left.
Stalin had Russia in a state of war for 10 years before the German invasion. The Soviets committed a genocide in Ukraine and Belorussia. They invaded Finland, they conspired with the Nazis to invade Poland.
How many Soviet war dead were shot in the back by their own officers? How many died in purges? How many in reprisals from Ukrainians?

Why, man, they did make love to this employment;
They are not near my conscience; their defeat
Does by their own insinuation grow:

Mr. Lavrov, where the eff to start?
How about this. Your man Stalin signs a nonaggression pact with his evil twin. He then invades Poland and kills, you know, tons of people which was old hat for him. Oh, don’t forget about Finland you folks invaded them too. You were all on board that Axis train until it started to run you over.
In the meantime, your boy Stalin purges his most experienced Generals, cause purges were his thing, so that when the Nazis invade, his Army is leaderless and feast for the slaughter. Not to mention the scientists and engineers and others who were purged so that you had no modernization of your military of capability to do so.
Then, of course, there was that time when Joey S. realizes that it is a great idea to suddenly side with the U.S. and U.K. to, you know, survive.
Oh, and how about the millions of dollars of food and equipment that we sent your way to keep your arses in the war. SPAM anyone?
Of course, your tactics were just phenomenal. Throw those soldiers into the meat grinder. You only lost what, 20-21 Million tops?
But I am sure you would not have minded losing another 10 Million had we not opened another European front.
So yes, lets celebrate the great Patriotic Meat Grinder!!! Really, Stalin probably enjoyed it as a way to get better use out of those who were going to be purged anyway.
Back to the Wadka Mr. Lavrov, back to the Wadka.
If the US and British had just waited to send an Army to France the Russians and Nazis would have fought to a severe stalemate. Russia had already defeated a significant Nazi Army by the time the US entered the war. Attrition by both of the engaging armies would have benefited the Brits, French, Eastern Europe, and the US.
1. One in Volgograd to celebrate the defeat of the Germans in the Battle of Stalingrad.
2. One in the battlefield where the Battle of Kursk happened.
3. One just west of Moscow to show where the German advance at Moscow stopped.
4. One to honor the defenders of the Siege of Leningrad (St. Petersburg).

There is no doubt that the Russians killed the majority of German troops and destroyed more of the German war machine. The Eastern Front featured some the biggest battles of the war, including the Battle of Kursk, the largest tank battle in history. It involved 6,000 tanks, 2 million troops, and 4,000 aircraft.
Over 7 weeks the Germans lost 110,000 dead, 1200 tanks, and 700 aircraft. The Soviets lost 250,000 dead, 700,000 wounded, 6,000 tanks and guns, and 2,000 aircraft. It was the turning point of the war on the Eastern Front. From then on the Soviets were on the offensive and the Germans on the defensive. The battle raged from July 5, 1943 to September 23, 1943. It was arguably the most important battle ofWWII.
