And where do we place the Hitler Stalin Pact of 1939 and the Russo Japanese Non Agression Pact.
Russia protects their monuments and their cause.
Compare/contrast to Confederate monuments.
Don’t you think that the likely response from the UN in 2019 will be “You must erect MORE monuments to communism”?
Should we say “Thank you for capturing Eastern Europe and enslaving it for 50 years”?
I guess this makes our victory in WW2 void because we colluded with the Russians.
A nation that doesn’t honor their history, will be ruled by one that does.
The same place we put the Munich Agreement and the Anglo-German Declaration (”Peace in out time” speech was from this Pact).

Russia wants to take a lot of the credit for victory in the east, which should be laid at the feet of the Russian winter, which decimated the Germans as they advanced on Stalingrad, etc.
As morbid as it is to say, but the Germans ought not have started crap and that would not have been a problem.
Yes, for reasons the Germans never fully understood, there was massive rape of the women of Berlin. Apparently It has something to do with mass sexual abuse in the countries they visited to the east of Germany, but nobody is really sure.
Lets give the Poles a controlling veto on that proposal ;D
Did that winter last from June of 41 to May or 45?
Communism/Nazism/Totalitarianism/Collectivism
They were, and are, equally abhorrent. It’s all BS.
exactly
Did Britain tag-team with Nazi Germany to invade Poland a few weeks after signing that agreement?
The Kremlin has never been very gracious about anyone else's sacrifices, but if Hitler hadn't had to contend with all of the "indecisive" efforts of the US and the Commonwealth, they would probably not be around today to denigrate said efforts.
Oh, and by the way... the UN still sucks.
No - but they basically sacrificed Czechoslovakia to Nazi Germany with their agreement.
Your move.

Didn’t need to.
The Russian winter smacked the Nazis somewhat before, and during and after the battle of Stalingrad as the Nazis were hardly prepared for it.
