Maybe the writer for BLUE BLOODS should research this case for an episode next season.
This kind of thing was MAYBE possible when the person asking for the hit wasn’t a complete big mouth wacko and the code of Omerta still reigned supreme in the Mafia.
Now a mafioso would exchange info on his role in such a murder to get a week taken off his sentence.
and VERY FEW people have Real mafia connections.
And unless it is family, the mafioso that does it for you extracts a HUGE price at the time and sometimes into the future.
DON’T ask a boyfriend or a lover or a neighbor or the mailman who you heard is tough to do the hit.
They will run to the FBI and you’ll get caught.
Better yet, DON’T TRY TO HAVE ANYONE KILLED!!! :)
I would think most hitmen would charge more than $3000.00 to take out their OWN 15 year old daughters (if I’m reading this story correctly) even though some teenagers can be a bit trying.

It appears to me that the boyfriend agreed to help her contact a potential murderer for her husband, but the boyfriend was not, himself, the “hitman,” that is, FBI employee, and the woman set up the attack on the boyfriend’s daughter without the boyfriend’s knowledge.
It’s weird that she could get 10 years for trying to buy two murders but 20 years for destroying evidence.

The lady was a NY police officer. You would think she would know this. Or has NYPD completely lowered their bar.
How did a woman this crazy and self centered get so far in life without it being apparent earlier?
I expect it to be a Life Time movie.

The #1 suspect in a spouse's murder is always the other spouse.
The #1 suspect in an ex-spouses murder is always the ex-spouse.
FBI Statistics bear out that in the majority of both the above cases, it's fact that a spouse / ex-spouse has committed the murder.
She also has a ten year old daughter from a previous relationship. It doesn’t appear she has custody. She had her badge and gun removed last year for undisclosed reasons. People knew she was crazy.

In a matter like this for those without any real valid connections, doing it yourself would be a must as you are the only one you can trust.
However, if you have any known associations with the victim, you’re gonna be a suspect. If you have a conscience, you will give yourself away. If you leave any forensics, you’re gonna get caught.
The best thing to do is just move on and get over it.
It was disclosed. Spending time at boyfriends while supposed to be working. This woman is a real slut.
Destroying evidence is a crime against the government while the two attempted murders are merely crimes against individuals. Your death is only half as important as making some civil "servant's" job a little more difficult.
Because she is not a man.
