So, you can't use the word "Father" when reciting the Lord's Prayer, i.e. "Our Father ..."?
God is neither male or female.
God possesses the essence of maleness without the biological implications of maleness. Think of a Platonic ideal form without an expressed physical instantiation. Gender.
I suppose that when the Pope is a commie atheist, it is just a matter of time before his faithful flock follow in his footsteps. After all, he “is” the vicar of Christ, or a substitute for the real thing.
>>>God has no sex. God is neither male or female. The attribute, when applied to God makes no sense.<<<
I guess Jesus Christ was a pretty confused guy, seeing as how He addressed the Deity as, “Our Father . . .”
>>>So the two people in the Garden of Eden....were it and it.<<<
Uh, no. Didn’t you get the memo? They are now Adam and Steve.
Wrong! He is the Father. Man was created in HIS image. Females were made as companions. See the book of Genisis for further education.
How dare the PC crowd presume God’s gender!
Gender is a biological thing. Since God is not biological, he has no gender. We created in his image, not him in ours.
Good answer :)
The world’s pretty insane. :)
That's not what a lot of Christians believe. Anyone willing to clarify?
Well, maybe not a human body, but he made Adam “in His image”...
“Wrong! He is the Father. Man was created in HIS image. Females were made as companions. See the book of Genisis for further education.”
I guess I missed where in Genesis it refers to Lord God as the father.
Yes. I agree with that.
And in whose image was Eve made?
Don’t know; she’s just a fraction of a man, though (one rib, to be precise) :P
1. God created man. Then, He said."I can do better than that," and He created woman.
2. Adam was lonely in the Garden of Eden and asked God for a companion. Adam described the "perfect" woman--beautiful, always supportive, doesn't nag, etc.
God said to Adam "That will cost you an arm and a leg."
Adam said,"I need my arm and leg, what can I get for a rib?"
Very funny (both) - thank you!
God has three persons; the 2nd person is Jesus, a male. Sorry you missed this detail...
Where did you get that crock? Jesus was a fully biological male and He was God — the 2nd person of the Holy Trinity.
