Only 50 ft? I jumped off little outcroppings looking over Lake Travis higher than 50 ft (after the ants started climbing up my legs).
That’s when I learned the phrase “Oh Sh******t”, like one seen in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid when they jumped into the river down in South America,....was a natural response from the human psyche.
Let’s not think about the Mexican Cliff Divers.
Yeah, the trick there is to land in the water. 50 feet onto the rocks below would have undesirable, yet predictable results.
I haven’t seen that movie since it was released way back, but i think it was in the southwest us. Actually shot near Durango, CO.
As a teen, I jumped off bridges higher than 50 feet. There’s a huge difference between jumping 50 feet into water and falling 50 feet onto rock. Most 50 foot falls onto a hard surface are not survivable.
