Old Glory--Stuart Hamblen

These words were likely aimed at Alger Hiss, Julius Rosenberg, et al., but they seem even more appropriate for today.

Times will change and so will men, but I cannot understand
Why anyone should doubt or lose faith in this great land.
Her dear colors hold for me all my hope and destiny.
They’ll never tear her down, ‘cause she’s Old Glory.
Should they try, they’ll never win,
For they’ll find a lot of us old boys around
Who still love our liberty. With our lives, we’ll guarantee
To keep her proudly in the breeze, for she’s Old Glory.
