It's been 25 years, but why quibble?
Rudy was the only other politician I can recall who said what he was going to do, and then went ahead and did it.
I think it was to allow us to compare it with the succeeding post from the present, and the difference between a real mayor and a Leninist. Just my guess.

We on Staten Island pushed him over the top but we needed a lot of votes from the other boroughs.
Conservative Jews helped a LOT.
But other than that, i’m not sure where the votes came from lol
I know that I do not see it happening again.
When he is done helping Trump as much as he can (as a fellow American of Italian descent I LOVE HIM but he is slipping), he should move to Staten Island where he would be welcome like a King.
