“I’m really not seeing how a state law in Alabama is going to “kill Trump”.”

Boogieman, you know how politics work, or should: you take one person or incident that is viewed by a lot of people as being extreme (in the bad sense), and then you tie the opponent of that election cycle to it as if they were personally responsible. So you ARE going to see/hear a million and one ads on TV, the internet and the radio tying Trump to this law.

Don’t get me wrong - I think that Alabama should be permitted to pass a law like this, that Roe v. Wade is HORRIBLE law (not even so much for its results, as for the twisted and made-up-from-whole-cloth legal reasoning that was used to justify this decision) and should be overturned. But exactly NONE of that speaks to what the effect that this law will have upon the election next year.
