Undercover camera and once you have the evidence, hire a lawyer and sue the school district.

If you had to go to work every day and be exposed to coworkers hitting you and threatening you and your boss wouldn’t help and her boss wouldn’t help, what would you do? Tough it out? Hit back and maybe get jumped by several of your coworkers? Think it through and make a decision that best protects your child. It’s not like she can be replaced. Also think of the trauma she is experiencing. What can you do to mitigate it? And I agree, I would hire a lawyer and press charges against whoever struck your daughter.

I stabbed a bully in the neck with a #2 Ticonderoga. He and his friends had gotten to the point that they were hitting me during recess daily. Everyone thought I was nuts and left me alone after that. I am not by any means advocating this, I was a scared and desperate 8 year old girl.

I agree with calling the police. The moment anything happens keep calling them. Demand they come to the school. This is such BS that kids can’t even go to school without being in fear.

Get an attorney, file a 50 million dollar suit and at the next PTA meeting, tell all the property tax paying parents they are paying for it because the school refuses to do anything.

Has the school called the parents of the culprits?
Have you talked to those parents?
Talking to the School Board member who represents the school might help.
Threatening to go to the newspaper or TV station usually gets a principal out of his chair.
Take a day off and sit in class with your child one day.

If all else fails, pay the lawyer to write a letter to the parents with a copy going to the school and the Board.
Good luck.

I had a close friend with a very similar problem.

In 9th grade his daughter was being threatened, screamed and cursed at and punched. She had money stolen from her and had her cell phone stolen twice.

After talking to the principal and teachers he soon realized the situation was impossible.

He transferred his daughter to a Catholic high school.

She did extremely well. She graduated high school with a 3.9 GPA and attended a very highly rated college. She graduated, got a good job and was recently married.

My wife and I attended their wedding.

Get an attorney and file a lawsuit against the school and the children abusing your daughter. Contact the police and press charges.

But get your daughter into a better environment.

Take her out of that school and either homeschool or put her into a good school.

That’s what I taught my two sons. First son caught his bully alone in the bathroom and beat the snot out of him. That kid didn’t tell anyone.

Younger son was more tender hearted and simply threw his bullies up against the hall lockers and told them to leave him alone.

This from a grandpa.

She was hit?

I think you should call the police, don’t mess with the school in any way, they obviously are not on your side.

Was the bully’s name given to the teacher or principal? How about them dealing with the kid directly?

This is how my youngest son got through high school. It was 100% free. All the text books were sent via mail, FREE. They even sent you a prepaid return sticker to send them back. He would not have made it through high school if it were not for this. https://www.k12.com/
Good luck!

Problem is, kids also use social media to bully. Kids have committed suicide because of cyber bullying. Lock out her computer and cell phone so she is not exposed to that. And get her out of that place asap! Homeschool! You can do that in the evenings, if you work outside the home during the day. I don’t know the law in NC, but even if they require you use their curriculum, she can do it online. Don’t worry about her “social development” , if she’s out of school. The kind of that that kid’s get at school nowadays does more harm than good. The important thing right now is her safety. Bring her home. It would be terrible if something happened to her, if she remains there. Am I being alarmist? You BET I am!

No kids but have worked in education in different ways.

The spectre of lawsuits changes opinions quick.

These days bullies are somehow protected.

Do not send her to school. You don’t say how old she or the bully are but keep her home. Get her school work. Call the police and file charges. Don’t allow her anywhere unsupervised until this is solved. When you hire a lawyer - NO MERCY.
Your family is added to my prayers.

How old is your daughter? I suspect the response should be very different for a 17 yo senior vs. a 70 in the 3rd grade.
