loved him so much...loved him on the Carole Burnett show as the old slow walking doctor or may have been a dentist...he was hysterical!
Peggy Lipton, Tim Conway and Doris Day.... Who is the 4th this week?
“Have you seen the Elephant Sketch with Dick Van Dyke?”
I smile just thinking about it. It even caused Carol to use a bad word on TV. So great.
“I may be mistaken, but I believe he has a son, Tim Conway Jr, who is on the radio in Los Angeles.”
You are correct. By the way I ran across Tim Conway Sr. at St. John’s hospital in Santa Monica. I believe he was visiting his sick mother at the time.
That was one of the funniest bits ever on TV.. Lyle Waggoner, Carol Burnett, Vikki Lawrence (who broke them ALL up) and Tim..
> A life well lived, made a lot of people laugh. <
True that. I sometimes wish I could run into Carol Burnett. My grandmother was widowed at a relatively young age. And she loved the Carol Burnett Show. It made her laugh.
Thanks, Carol. And thanks, Tim.
Vicki Lawrence is a regular on “The Cool Kids” Friday nights. She’s a great comedienne, and the show could be good. We had to quit watching because there’s a big emphasis on homosexuality. It was disgusting; expect it still is.
All time CLASSIC. I don’t know how Tim did it but he never even flinched while Harvey Korman could never keep a straight face and that made it all the better
That’s the Triad...
Me too. RIP Tim Conway. Thanks for the hours of enjoyment you gave us.
Oh wow. Bummer. Mr. Parker is gone. He was a gentle, funny guy. Well, all my childhood icons are just about gone now. Damn. That really makes me feel old.
Rest In Peace and bless you for your talent, Tim Conway. Prayers for your loved ones. And the Heavenly Improv Theatre just got way better. Just imagine St. Peter begging him to do the elephant rputine.
Tim was always trying to crack Harvey up and usually did.
So sad.
My Mom went to High School (Hollywood HS) with Carol Burnett back in the late 40’s. So her show had a special place in our hearts and it never disappointed. Harvey and Tim were money when in skits together.
How funny, just ten minutes ago I received an email from Ticketmaster announcing Carol will be doing a ‘reflections” show in Beverly Hills. 90 minute questions and reflections from her career. It is formatted like her old show which began with a couple questions from the audience. She must be in good health as the show isn’t until March of next year!
Thanks, Tim, for all of the laughs and smiles. You were a class act in McHale’s Navy and on Carol Burnett. Rest in peace.
Condolences to his family and close friends - you’ll miss him more than the public, but take solace in the knowledge that he was in your lives for a long time.
