Just watched a local hit piece on Trump--and the report began by the 'journalist' saying Trump had the Hungarian PM in the White House.
The foreign leader was said to have a legacy of "anti-immigration and anti-semitism".
Well, I looked at a few sources for his "anti-semitism", and it seems to be that the PM of Hungary, Viktor Orban, merely DOESN'T WANT GEORGE SOROS meddling in the nation's affairs.
Am I missing something? Does Bibi consider Orban a Jew hater, or is this just the media defending Soros?
No real source for this, so I put it in chat.
Here in Israel I have seen no concern that Orban is an anti-Semite.
Accusing those who oppose Soros of anti-Semitism is a vile trick of the left to silence opposition. Soros in fact was a Nazi collaborator during World War II according to his own testimony in that notorious Sixty Minutes interview.
The old Alinsky mind tactic: Accuse your opponent of what you actually are, IIRC.
Nethanyahu recently called Orban “a true friend of Israel”. I don’t think one could say the same about George Soros. But the anti-semitism slur against Orban is based soley on the fact that he does not want Soros and his NGO’s interfering in Hungary’s politics.
I am half Hungarian.
I have much family in Hungary.
I own a home in Hungary.
I travel there several times per year.
I am marrying a Hungarian woman.
With my credentials out of the way, I can tell you that Hungary is not anti-Semitic.
Across Europe there are still people who are anti-Semitic...but they are a minority. Western did more to help anti-Semitism by importing islamic migrants into their communities.
Since Hungary refused to take any islamic migrants, it is less anti-Semitic than France or Germany, who have an epidemic of attacks on Jewish people and institutions.
Relations between Hungary and Israel are at the best ever.

Ah...found what is probably the source for the “journalist”: an opinion piece from the liberal EUROPEAN version of Politico....and, like I thought, it points to Orban’s dislike of Nazi collaborator George Soros.
So imagine....opposing Nazi collaborator George Soros is considered “anti-Semitic”.
Reason I asked is that I was curious about ownership.
Ownership tells you a lot about the prospects of getting any unbiased news out of a mediot outlet :-)
Yes, the EU hates Hungary for several reasons:
1) Hungary will not take Islamic migrants
2) Hungary opposes Soros and his interference in the will of the people
3) Hungary has anti-abortion laws in their constitution
The global socialists cannot allow this.
