I am simply not connecting your thought out and cogent religious arguments against homosexuality and gay marriage with FReepers making derrière and other crude jokes about Mayor Pete. They really are not the same thing.
Mayor Pete has dished it out. But you think he shouldn’t have any snarky gibes said against him in exasperation where he is not even seeing them, as opposed to freepers primly repeating all the reasons why his behavior and blasphemy are offensive to conservatives.
Get some perspective. No one on FR is throwing him off a building.
The lgbtq agenda insists that whole rest of the country has to cower in shame and risk having their lives ruined because a small percentage of men and women refuse to accept that they have a statistically minority condition requiring that they adjust within civilization, not shut down civilization. They’ve even outlawed therapy rather than face the painful reality of being different, instead turning into fascist tyrants.
Tell that to the brave men and women who will go through the rest of their lives without one or more vital parts of their bodies because they went into combat for this nation. Do they get to insist that the rest of society be similarly maimed, or have children taught that whole-bodied people are bigots and haters?
What if musicians must never play in harmony again, due to the small percentage of people who are tone deaf? Confiscate their instruments—harmony is Hitler!
Must restaurants serve only pureed food, to avoid hurting the feeings of babies and the elderly? Shut them down! Raw food and whole fibers are discriminatory!
Must schoolchildren must be taught that healthy bodies, harmony and whole foods are bigoted expressions of privilege—like heteronormativity?
To boil it down, Mayor Pete has little to recommend him as a candidate, other than identity politics, the worst reason ever to elect someone. So he is being “hooted offstage”, because the very idea that a pipsqueak mayor whose electoral differentiator is that he’s gay is inherently arrogant and offensive.
The nation is in serious trouble on every level. Most people are exhausted of minority demands for special treatment when they refuse to respect the long-established foundational principles of the rest of society, whom they expect to pave their way. They are the ones preventing unity, like toddlers throwing poo in the dairy aisle.
