I don't know about enjoying meds but there is not anything enjoyable about this surgery... hopefully better in the long run. When I came out from under anaesthesia Friday afternoon someone in the OR asked if I know where I am; I said 'Yes, in H3ll.'
Things have gotten better. :^) I am still tired but not as much as yesterday. Today I stopped the opioid and tried Fioricet (butalbital); that has so far seemingly made things better. When I see the surgeon I may ask him to consider the alternative for others.
Gonna close for now. Things are looking up - I think.
Glad to hear from you, Bob. Sorry it hurts so much. Praying for comfort and healing!
Thank you so much for reporting.
Prayers for your quick recovery from the surgery and may you feel much better after.

So glad to hear from you. Sleep A LOT! It makes the time go faster and each day should be better.
Bob I wish you well. 30 years ago when I had my back surgery, I called the PT folks the Gestapos! I don’t remember saying that, but my hubby swears I did.
Yay, Bob, glad you are home!
So sorry you are in h3ll, but this too will pass... best thing to do is sleep through it if you can!

Good to hear you have come out of surgery okay. Prayers for quick and total healing. I broke a foot a few years ago and had to have major surgery.. worst pain ever lol. I came out of anesthesia sobbing and telling the nurses I was going to buy a cow hahahhahahahhaa. :o. Oh the stories they could tell, I’m sure!
I want to say I got Toradol when I was in the ER with a blockage from a kidney stone. I wonder if that would work for you. It worked better than the morphine for me.
