Aren’t the Marines still flying CH-46s? Airframe longevity like that shows they can certainly weather a couple years more with the E series while waiting for the K.

Arent the Marines still flying CH-46s? According to Wikipedia:
The USMC retired the CH-46 on 1 August 2015 in a ceremony at the Udvar-Hazy Center near Washington DC.
So no, both the Navy and the Marines have retired all of their CH-46s.

The V-22 replaced the CH-46. The CH-46 was retired for good in 2015.
