However, this may explain why there was only one person dead and so many injured. She might think that she is a male, but she is really a female - who usually is the sex that shows compassion and mercy and love. She didn’t have the killer instinct that a boy I think can summon up.
Although it may also have just been lack of knowledge as well, not related to their sex. Perhaps they had a low-powered weapon like a .22 or something?
